Quick update. I’m almost a third of the way through the rewrite on The Seventh Law of Power, managing about a chapter a day. It had to sit for a while so I could come back to it with a clear head. Stumbled upon a subplot I’d actually forgotten, but easily fixed. Which is why it’s called a rewrite.

Once the rewrite is complete, how long does it typically take for a book to be published? And, as I only read physical books, I am referring in particular to the paperback edition.

The print edition has to go through layout and then the proof copies have to be error checked. You can figure about 4-6 weeks after the ebook edition, assuming nothing needs to be fixed. I’m considering trying to do the editions at the same time for that reason, which only means the ebook gets delayed instead.
